Fresno Rescue Mission’s Thrift Store – Ribbon Cutting

Fresno Rescue Mission’s Thrift Store re-opens after the ceiling collapsed last year.  Saturday January 21st the Fresno Chamber of Commerce helped welcome the re-opening of the Fresno Rescue Mission’s Thrift Store at 181 E. Sierra Ave. Fresno, CA 93710.  The Fresno Rescue Mission was founded in 1949 as a non-profit, Christ-centered evangelical charitable organization, with the purpose of meeting the physical and spiritual needs of our area’s destitute.  The Mission was born out of a vision by Rev. Clifford Phillips, at a prayer meeting called the “Fisherman’s Club”.  The Fresno Rescue Mission is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Fresno County.  All store items, car sales, and items donated to their recycling center are used to maintain and expand the services of the Fresno Rescue Mission. This helps to provide the resources necessary to help the homeless and at-risk men, women, children, and families.
