Overview / Criteria

Each year, the alumni of the Leadership Fresno program recognize outstanding alumni who have demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the community through service and involvement, as well as to the Leadership Fresno program and Alumni Association.

As an active member of the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association, you are invited to participate in the Annual Alumni of the Year Awards. Please identify an individual who exemplifies the spirit of the Leadership Fresno program as described in the criteria below. Your nomination will be judged based on these criteria.

Those chosen will be honored, in the company of their peers, at the annual Leadership Fresno Graduation Banquet

ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR – COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

This award annually honors a member of the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association who has demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the community through service and involvement, as well as to the Leadership Fresno program and Alumni Association. Your nomination should include the following:

  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the community through service and involvement. Brief description of community involvement: Membership in community organizations, membership on Boards of Directors or Commissions (list positions), membership and offices held on committees.
  • Brief description of career achievements.
  • Active membership in Leadership Fresno Alumni Association and evidence that the individual practices and promotes the Leadership Fresno program.
  • Evidence of quality of leadership that is effective, creative and stimulating, and that the individual acts as a team player.
  • Evidence of commitment through voluntary service and financial support of nonprofit organizations. (List)

ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR – PROGRAM INVOLVEMENT

This award annually honors a member of the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association who has demonstrated outstanding leadership through service to and involvement, with the Leadership Fresno program and Alumni Association. Your nomination should include the following:

  • Active membership in the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association, active participation and support of the current LF Program, and evidence that the individual practices and promotes the LF program in the community. (List specifics of participation and support of the Leadership Fresno program and Alumni Association.)
  • Evidence of quality of leadership that is effective, creative and stimulating, and that the individual acts as a team player.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership in support of the continuing development and advancement of Leadership Fresno. Brief description of program involvement.
  • Evidence of commitment through voluntary service and financial support of nonprofit organizations.
