Whether you’re starting a new business or looking for resources to improve, there are many resources in the Greater Fresno area to help.

    • CalGold assists you in finding appropriate permit information for your business. It also provides contact information for the various agencies that administer and issue these permits.
    • Downtown Business Hub serves as a resource center with universal access for Spanish and English-speaking business entrepreneurs.
    • Economic Development Corporation Serving Fresno County is a nonprofit organization established to market Fresno County as the premier location for business prosperity. They facilitate site selection for new businesses within Fresno County, but also assist in the retention and expansion of businesses that are already located in the area.
    • The Economic Opportunities Commission provides a variety of human services and economic development opportunities, such as pre-school education to vocational training; from juvenile and drug abuse counseling to treatment for serious juvenile offenders; from youth recreation to senior citizen hot meal services; from energy conservation education to crisis intervention; from preventive health care to prenatal nutrition education; and from vocational counseling to job placement services.
    • The Employment Development Department is one of the largest state departments with employees at hundreds of service locations throughout the state. For more than 70 years, they have connected millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of the Golden State.
    • Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board serves as a catalyst to mobilize and integrate all private and public partners to effectively educate, train and place individuals with the necessary resources and skills to fulfill employer needs.
    • SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.
    • The Small Business Administration provides assistance primarily through its four programmatic functions; Access to Capital, Entrepreneurial Development, Government Contracting, and Advocacy.
