On game days, Fresno sports fans
head for the Bulldog Stadium, Chukchansi Park, Save Mart Center and
Selland Arena. Sports enthusiasts will be excited to learn
that semi-pro and professional sports are a significant part of
Fresno's lifestyle. The Fresno Falcons of the East Coast
Hockey League, the Fresno Grizzlies an affiliate of the Giants,
Central Valley Coyotes of the Arena Football League, Fresno Fuego of
the United Soccer League and the Fresno State Bulldogs all call
Fresno home.
For those who prefer active
participation the Fresno area also offers recreational leagues for
most sports. Thanks to an ideal climate and a dynamic Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Department, the Fresno Area is an
exciting playground with activities and adventures awaiting indoor
and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
Entertainment
Activities in the Fresno area are
available to suit all ages. Outdoor adventure continues for the
whole family at Roeding Park; which features a fishing lake, a
Japanese War Memorial, the Chaffee Zoo, Rotary Playland and
Storyland. The new Village at Granite Park is another premiere
destination family theme park with restaurants, retail stores,
special events and a climbing gym. Fresno also offers many
areas for camping amidst the great outdoors with swimming, boating,
fishing, hiking and horseback riding. The Shinzen Japanese
Garden complete with a stone garden and authentic thatched-roof
teahouse is a rare and significant attraction in the area .
Nightlife in Fresno is spread
throughout the eclectic mix of neighborhoods including The Tower
Districts, Woodward Park, River Park, Downtown Fresno, Sunnyside,
Old Fig Garden and more. Each neighborhood offers a variety of
bars, restaurants, live music venues and shops unique to
Fresno.
Fresno offers endless opportunities
for shopping, dinning and entertainment. River Park is a
unique center featuring retail stores, restaurants and a movie
theatre. The revitalized downtown area displays a pedestrian
mall with many historical architectural styles, known as the Fulton
Street Mall. From plazas, strip malls and free standing
businesses to outdoor shopping centers and enclosed malls, there is
something for everyone.
Fresno is also the home of four
Indian tribes that have created exciting venues to experience.
The casino's include award-winning dining, slot machines, table
games, luxurious hotel rooms, bingo, cash giveaways and huge monthly
giveaways.

Fresno County has an abundance of

Museums
The City of Fresno is home to
numerous museums, including the African-American Museum, Arte Américas,
Fresno Metropolitan Museum, Kearney Mansion, Fresno Art Museum, Meux
Home, the Ruth and Sherman Lee Institute for Japanese Art.
Fresno is also home to the renowned
Fresno Philharmonic as well as the Fresno Grand Opera, Fresno Film
Works Festival, The Fresno Dixieland Society, monthly Art Hop, Rouge
Performance Festival and the California State University, Fresno,
Summer Arts Festival.
In addition, Fresno’s Save Mart
Center, has quickly become one of the nation's busiest concert
arenas, bringing in performers not seen elsewhere on the west coast.

The Sierra Summit Mountain Resort is
